Next Narberth

Founded in 1882, Narberth are based in Pembrokeshire, feeder team to the ScarletsIn 1990-91 they were founder members of the National Heineken League Division Two and finished in 6th place out of ten sides. Re-classified as Division Three in 1991-92, they finished 4th and were promoted back into Division Two. In 1994-95 Narberth finished 11th out of 12 and were relegated for the only time in their history to date. In Division Three for two seasons Narberth were again moved this time into Division Two, where they remained until season 2001-02 where they won their only Championship to date, scoring 1016 points in 30 games: Narberth remained at this level for the next nine seasons, winning a second-place promotion into the National Championship where they have remained ever since.

Ystalyfera’s first meeting with Narberth was a friendly at Ynysydarren in season 2015-16, when the ‘Fera lost 0–31. Our next meetings were within the Championship League and Cup competitions, when Narberth won 44–0, 16-24 and 70–19 at home, with Ystalyfera suffering at Ynysydarren a 20-24 defeat. However, Ystalyfera gained a first win at home 21-19 in 2022-23. Narberth are  this season in great form, unbeaten and sitting top of the table.
